Leveraging Facebook Groups for Your Business
Facebook groups offer an incredible opportun
ity to allow people interested in the same topic to connect, educate, ask questions and help each other. To give you an overview of the three types of groups and features, here are the charts below:
Facebook groups are extremely important because they give you, as a business owner, the unique opportunity to connect with Facebook users engaged in a particular product, service or topic. Please remember you aren’t joining or starting a group to sell your services or products but rather help answer questions and be a resource in that group, so you can become your industry authority.

3 Ways to Leverage Facebook Groups:
Offer Value Without Selling
 - By creating a FB group, you as a business owner have the unique ability to offer value and education to your current customers, as well as future customers. The goal of establishing a Facebook group for your business should be to connect with your customers where they are. Being part of a group will allow users to feel like they are getting value from you and your company without being sold something.
Become the Problem Solver
- Customers are looking for a person and/or company to trust and go to with their problems in hopes that a solution can be had. By being that authority, they can go to, you will begin to solve their problems and build that trust. Additionally, this will give you insight into how your customers think, act and deal with their problems and solutions.
Gain Immediate Feedback
 - Thinking of launching a new service line or product in your business but want real feedback from your customers? Facebook groups allow you to post polls, questions and much more that will provide you with immediate feedback from your customers on. Transparency is key, and the more transparent you can be, the stronger connection you will have to your customers.
I encourage you to join a group to experience what they’re all about and gain ideas on how you can leverage a Facebook group for your business. If you’re a member of the Glendale Chamber, you can join their exclusive group by typing “Glendale Chamber Connects” in the search bar and sending a join request.
If you are interested in starting your own group, all you have to do is
(1) sign in to your FB account,
(2) click on the drop-down menu in the top right corner, and
(3) click Create a Group.
