COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES

Arizona State University: Established in 1885, Arizona State University has since expanded to five campuses across the Phoenix, Arizona, metropolitan area with over 82,000 students making it the largest public university in the United States. ​In 2016, university ratings by U.S. News & World Report rank them No. 1 among the Most Innovative Schools in America. Arizona State continues to grow with the help of the president, Michael Crow.

 

DeVry University: The school was founded in 1931 as DeForest Training School, and officially became DeVry University in 2002. Devry University has approximately 55 locations across 18 states in the United States, one of them residing in Glendale. Robert Paul, the President of Devry Universities gives you the opportunity to take advantage of the many ways to learn in a class environment that compliments your learning style, and tailor your schedule to fit your life with their 8-week academic courses offered year round. ​

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University: Located in ​Luke Air Force Base, ​Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University originally opened in 1926 as a Flying School. But since then, the President, ​Dr. Karen A. Holbrook has helped expand the University to accommodate students interested in ​applied science, aviation, business, computers & technology, engineering, security, intelligence, safety, and space.

Glendale Community College: With two campuses in Glendale, Glendale Community College ​is one of ten, higher education institutions in the Maricopa Community College District. Since they opened in 1965, the president Dr. Irene Kovala has made sure that Glendale Community College promises ​to aid in the pathway to academic success for their students.

Grand Canyon University: Since founded in 1949, Grand Canyon University has been a Christian college with a biblically rooted mission. Grand Canyon University has six campuses located throughout the Phoenix area. Brian Mueller, Grand Canyon University's President stands by providing both traditional and online students with opportunities to grow spiritually by engaging them in activities that ultimately develop them into co-laborers with Jesus Christ for Kingdom impact.

Huntington University: Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations, including our most popular programs in film and animation, nursing, psychology and social work. Founded in 1897 by the Church of the United Brethren in Christ. The university is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU). ​

Midwestern University: Founded in 1900, it opened a campus in Glendale 95 years later. Midwestern University has since expanded beyond providing medical education and now operates ten colleges, offering degrees in dentistry, pharmacy, optometry, podiatric medicine, and other health professions. The president, Kathleen Goeppinger, Ph.D. promises side-by-side​ learning with students in other health professions, modeling the team approach to 21st century healthcare practice.

Park University Luke Air Force Base Campus Center: ​Park’s campus center in Luke Air Force Base, in Phoenix, offers courses that can be completed in 8-week sessions rather than a traditional 16-week semester and are taught by faculty committed to the success of each student. Sessions start five times a year, giving you multiple entry points – two in the fall, two in the spring, and one in summer. ​Dr. Greg Gunderson is Park University's 17th President with 41 campuses in 20 states particularly in Phoenix and Tuscon.

University of Phoenix: University of Phoenix provides access to higher education opportunities that enable students to develop knowledge and skills necessary to pursue their professional goals, improve the performance of their organizations, and provide leadership and service to their communities.


TRADE SCHOOLS

Arizona Automotive Institute: For more than 45 years, Arizona Automotive Institute has helped individuals get the training they need for the careers they want. They are located in Glendale they offer programs in Diesel – Heavy Truck; Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Basic Refrigeration (HVAC/BR); Combination Welding; & Automotive Service Technology.​

Western Maricopa Education Center (West-MEC): ​Since 2003, West-MEC has grown significantly providing career and technical education across the Phoenix west valley, they currently have 6 Central Campuses and 6 Central Program Partner Campuses to serve students.
