Thunderbird park flag raising & Veteran's Day Celebration
The Glendale Chamber Military & Veterans Affairs Committee hosted a very special flag-raising ceremony on Sat. November 10, 2018 at Thunderbird Conservation Park in Glendale.
The community rallied together to participate in a human chain to carry (hand-over-hand) the flag to the newly installed flag pole at Arrowhead Point, where it is now permanently displayed as a point of pride for residents and visitors alike. This event also coincided with Veterans Day weekend, and payed tribute to those who have served and are serving in the US Armed Services.
