The Glendale Star
A flagpole was raised last week at Treasure House, courtesy of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce Military and Veterans Affairs Committee, and sponsored by Dignity Memorial, Century 21 Northwest, Savers Recycling, and MT Builders Companies.
Jeff Turney, MVAC chairman, said,“I’m honored to have the opportunity to work with this fine group of patriots as we placed the flagpole into the ground and raised our Stars and Stripes.
“The flag we used for this project came from our flag re-purposing program we started with Savers Recycling. That program has now gone national and Savers Recycling works with us and various other groups across the nation to put usable flags back in service. We properly dispose of those flags that are no longer serviceable.”
The Treasure House exists to offer a structured, supported living community for young adults with developmental disabilities.
